In the latest episode of the Radio Sverigei podcast, Paul Schliefsteiner and Dieter Bacher talked about the controversial topic of “Putin’s new spies in Europe”. The topic was the influence of the Soviet and Russian secret services in Europe – both from a historical perspective and in relation to the current situation.
Schliefsteiner and Bacher discussed how this influence has persisted since the end of the Cold War and provided assessments as to why it has not diminished to the extent that was expected just a few years ago. The experts’ analysis shows that the threat of espionage and covert operations in Europe continues to be a significant issue.
