On Monday, May 6 at 9.15 a.m., in front of the Academy of Sciences in the city center, the Constitutional Minister Karoline Edtstadler was attacked with fake blood by a well-known activist. Just a few minutes later, the Minister opened the renowned and important anti-Semitism conference. The activist, a member of the Jewish community in Vienna and known as a radical climate activist of the “Last Generation”, blocked a street in Vienna in January 2023. His loud protest was directed “against the normalization of a genocide” and called for a “ceasefire” in the Gaza Strip. After he threw himself on the ground, he was taken away by the police who were already standing by. Hamas’ terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023 has barbarically reinforced the “world disorder” described above and initiated a war – with direct consequences for us too. Anti-Semitism is spreading, in Islamism, in right-wing extremism and also in left-wing extremism.
