More than just personal protection is needed to prevent attacks like the one on Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico. A new level of violence has now been reached. Politicians from all parties are being physically attacked. What can we do? According to Hartleb, there are only two levels left: public safety and politics. When politicians become hate objects, it is about the importance of politics itself. And more: a peaceful community that now has to defend itself against radical individuals.
