This course examines the influence of media on perception and opinion formation in times of disinformation, emotionalized debates, and digital platforms. The focus is on propaganda, fake news, and the question of how media content works and how manipulation can be recognized. The aim is to build media literacy – that is, the ability to critically examine information and classify it based on facts.
The course is offered by ACIPSS at the University of Graz.
