At the end of the year, ACIPSS researchers Stefan Auer and Cordula Simon were still busy working to increase resilience against misinformation and anti-democratic narratives among young and old alike through practical media literacy:
On December 4, at the invitation of the Catholic parish of Fürstenfeld, with a lecture and discussion entitled “Is it all ‘fake news’? – The dangers of digital disinformation & how to defend yourself against it!”
On December 11, at the invitation of JUNOS Styria, Carinthia & Burgenland, with the workshop “The new media world, fake news, narratives that threaten democracy, and ways to defend yourself intellectually.”
On December 17 at the Graz City Library together with a school class from BORG Köflach with a workshop on fake news and the proper use of AI in everyday media
Many thanks to everyone for an exciting and insightful conclusion to our media literacy offerings in 2025!
