At the invitation of the Pensioners’ Association of the Steiermärkische, ACIPSS researcher Stefan Auer gave a lecture on March 13, 2025, at the Lindenwirt in Graz on the topic “Everything ‘Fake News’? – The dangers of digital disinformation & how to defend yourself against it!” The event was held under the motto “Media literacy and protection against disinformation affects us all!” – because regardless of age, it is essential for everyone to know how to assess and verify information in the digital media space. The discussion also focused on key principles to follow in order to avoid becoming a victim of disinformation and manipulation.
