Invitation to an evening event
“Online jihad – The theological and ideological backgrounds of Islamist influencers”
Tuesday, May 20, 2025
6:30–9:00 p.m
Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, RESOWI Center, HS 15.11, Universitätsstraße 15
This event offers insights into the theological foundations, ideological narratives, and strategic forms of communication used by Islamist influencers in the digital space.
Imet Mehmedi and Amrei Martschinke analyze how religious language and symbolism are deliberately used to promote radicalization processes—and what social and security policy challenges this poses.
The lectures will be followed by an open discussion.
The event is jointly organized by SICHER LEBEN and ACIPSS.
Registration is not required – we would be delighted if you could join us.
