Our ACIPSS researcher Dr. Florian Hartleb has published a new book:
Teenager Terrorists. How Our Children Become Radicalized – and How We Can Protect Them.
The book addresses a highly topical issue: the growing radicalization of teenagers – whether in Islamist or right-wing extremist milieus. Hartleb vividly demonstrates how young people are influenced by extremist groups and ideologies and examines the social mechanisms behind these processes. At the same time, he offers concrete approaches on how families, schools, and policymakers can respond effectively.
Previously, Hartleb had already analyzed the dangers of youth radicalization in a widely discussed article in stern(“Mannheim: It’s easy to say, that was just a lunatic”), stressing the importance of early prevention. His new book now develops this research further, providing practical insights for politics, security agencies, and civil society.
