Global crises, geopolitical tensions, and accelerated transformation processes are intensifying radicalization in Western societies. This poses enormous challenges for democracies: polarization, extremist ideologies, and dwindling trust in institutions are threatening social cohesion and open society.
David Blum’s lecture highlights key mechanisms and current developments in radicalization in a social context and discusses how democracies can strengthen their resilience to these dangers.
